From Humble Tides to Global Horizons

The Karavelioğlu story began in 1916, rooted in the energy that drives the world forward. What started as a venture into the fuel and gas sector quickly evolved into a pioneering force in maritime logistics. We hold the distinction of being the first company to provide bunkering services for industry giants like Mobil, Shell, and Türk Petrol—a testament to our early commitment to reliability and excellence.

Our journey on the water started with "Hisseler," a 30-ton tirhandil that laid the foundation for our fuel transportation services. As demand grew, so did our ambition. We expanded our capacity with the 40-ton tanker "Karaveli," followed by a bold move in the 1960s to construct two of our own 100-ton tankers. This spirit of self-reliance and innovation propelled us forward.

Building the Fleet

We didn't just sail ships; we built legacies.

• 1968: We launched a 600 DWT steel ship, a project meticulously constructed over three years.
• 1969: The fleet expanded internationally with the acquisition of the tanker "Göksu" from Singapore.
• 1982 - 1992: Our reach extended significantly as we added a 16,000 DWT tanker, followed by a massive 116,000 DWT vessel a decade later.
• 1995: Returning to our roots of craftsmanship, we constructed two additional tankers (6,500 DWT and 7,500 DWT) to ensure our fuel transport services remained second to none.

Mastering the Shipyard

In the 2000s, we returned to our ancestral home of İnebolu to establish a powerhouse of maritime engineering. On a sprawling 60,000 m² coastal facility, we operated a floating dock with a 4,500-ton lifting capacity. Here, we provided dry-docking services for vessels up to 130 meters in length and 18.50 meters in width, while simultaneously constructing various ship types up to 15,000 DWT.

Constructing the Future: On Land and Sea

The Karavelioğlu Group's expertise is not limited to the ocean. In 2005, our construction division began shaping skylines. Our inaugural project in Bodrum Gümüşlük transformed an 18,000 m² prime coastal plot into 42 exclusive villas, delivered to satisfied homeowners by the summer of 2007.

Today, we continue to build with the same precision that defined our maritime history. While we maintain a portfolio of boutique construction projects in the Bodrum region, we are currently laying the groundwork for a major development in İnebolu featuring 150 independent units.
